Who is eligible for this program?
Young people ages 18–21 who are currently in California's Extended Foster Care program and referred through the county's Independent Living unit.
How long can someone stay?
Housing is designed to support residents through their time in Extended Foster Care, with the goal of building real independence before transitioning out.
Is there a cost to residents?
The program is designed to operate through county rate funding for THP-NMD placements, not out-of-pocket cost to the young person.
What support is actually included?
Stable housing plus life-skills coaching covering budgeting, job readiness, and daily independent-living skills, along with ongoing check-ins.
